Photographer’s Note
...Here's another photo from my N.Z. travelogue .
This time from Wellington .
On February 25.th we had to cross Cook Strait from Wellingtom to Picton on N.Z.'s South Island .
As you can see the weather was cloudy and a bit windy, but the setting of light that morning was gorgeous !
Well !
I had read about crossing Cook Strait before I left Denmark. I had read about "The Roaring Fourties" which are very strong winds ruling here . I had also taken a look at a video in the internet( You Tube ) to be prepared , and having seen that ( "The Aratere Horror - Cook Strait Ferry New Zealand" )I was certainly not confident of a successful crossing at all !!
But : The weather was not so bad after all though the winds were strong enough , so it ended up being one - if not THE most beautiful crossing I have ever experienced . One reason you can see in the workshop : the ferry was not the size of Aratere , but a huge one !! :o)
There's also a photo in the workshop from our departure from Wellington

Hallo Dorte!
A truly impressive sight along the coast, but - I think - it's too dark. Righthand especially the clouds are overexposed and seeing details in thos photo isn't easy. Forgive me, but ... the ws pictures are much more better (therefore two points ;-).
The note is an excellent supplement to the pictures!
Greetings from sticky and thundery Siegen!

Hi Dorte,
a very strong impression of Wellington! The light is great indeed and you have also chosen a perfect POV.
Congratulations!

Hej Dorte,
A great view along the coastline. The light and fog/clouds create a wonderful mood here. Also a nice view on the city built against the hills. Good POV and well composed. Thanks for sharing!

Hej Dorte.
Beautiful photo with a great misty light. Good composition and the photo is taken from a great POV. The houses in the hills adds a lot. Maybe it's a bit to compressed (71kB) to be as detailed as it could have been. May i offer a WS?
Your notes and attached WS's are really great. True TE-spirit!

Hello Dorte!
Lovely New Zealand colours and 'feel' in this shot: I think I stayed in a Bed and Breakfast on the left hand hill when I passed through in 1992! My Cook Strait crossing was also very calm back then, too!
(PS: 'BTW' is short for 'by the way'!)
Best wishes,
Jeff
