The power of Wellington's wind is clearly visible here as this concrete wharf takes a pounding at Lyall Bay.
This wharf is right next to Wellington airport and if you ask anyone who lives here they will tell you about the "fun" landings you can have here because of the Wind!

Frightening waves. At first in the thumbnail, the water looked like angel wings, so I had to look closer at the image. Very good.
