Photographer’s Note
Taken at 7am while waiting to travel on the Interislander ferry to the South Island from Wellington across the Cook Strait. The journey takes 3 hours and is a beautiful scenic trip (much nicer than flying if you can spare the time). Onboard the ferry are bars, cafes and restaurants, tv rooms and a children's play area. You can drive or walk on, and the vehicles (including some small containers) are kept on the bottom level. The journey through the Marlborough Sounds to Picton is particularly beautiful, and if you can spare the time when visiting New Zealand, I would recommend travelling to the South Island this way (and driving or catching a coach the rest of the way to your destination in the South Island) instead of flying.

Hi Irene. Nice catch. Well timed for the best light and colours. The diagonal composition adds a dynamic touch to this peaceful scene. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hola Irene.
Encantadora escena, con un estupendo encuadre.
La escena aparece un poco pixelada, quizá por falta de luz, quizá.
Saludos y tfs, JL.
