Photographer’s Note

We spent a few days in Rotorua which is famous for hot springs, mud baths and volcanic activity. It turns out that the city actually is within a volcanic crater. The lake, where this picture was taken, fills the crater.

This was take just before the sun came over the rim of the crater. Some think of the earth as a slowly changing orb floating in space. Our time in Rotorua made me think again...
