Photographer's Note

Coming back from Cape Egmont on the surf Highway, late alpen-glow
hits the summit of Mt Taranaki/Egmont (2,518m). Very rarely will you
get no cloud around this peak but I did not mind so much.

I can understand that you've enjoyed this amazing view ! The silhouette of the lonely cow on the green hill in the fg gives a great impact to the picture . Of course , the sky looks a little washed-out , but this was like that at this special moment .

the view is superb! The mountain is so pretty and grand. The mist and clouds are very exciting to note. The view of a cow on the high ground is very special and well thought.

fascinating the view of the snowy Mt. with the blue of the clouds,are really original?,to makes the whole scenery unique.The existence of the foreground green hill with the cow to graze,completes perfectly the image.

Hello Jim - What a view, the sugar-pink tint on the snow works wonderfully well with the blue layers of cloud. The cow grazing on the rounded rise in the FG makes a great silhouette and adds depth to the shot. Nice job. Warm regards rosemary

Hi Jim,
This one is fascinating. One cow hill with massive volcano peak behind. Tones of disappearing sunshine are really beautiful. Clouds don't mmatter at all as long as the peak is visible.

Hello Jim,

These picture is extraordinarily nice, what a panoramic view about these area.
Nevertheless a very nice image.
Addition of the cow on the hill gives an extra touch to the picture.
Composition and presentation are nice.

Hello Jim,

A picture with a beautiful simplicity (and
simplicity is usually the most difficult).
A beautiful mountain "dressed" with a
beautiful clouds is a party for the eyes,
but the hill with the cow on the foreground
is a brilliant.
The cut up and below the picture makes the
picture extra wide and the light management
is also beautiful.

In short: my compliments, this picture
deserve much more comments and goes directly
to my favorites.
