Photographer’s Note
Falls of Whangarei drop 25 m to a wide lush pool.
This one was particularly difficult to squeeze on 200kb limit. Partly because there's lots of small details. And because Konica did a lot of in-camera sharpening. It gave nice results on small size prints, but makes PP more difficult; choice of sharpening should always be left for the photographer.

Hello Keri -
You are right that processing should be left to the photographer. I assume you were not shooting RAW with comments about in camera processing. This image does look a bit over sharpened - the running water looks a bit chunky rather than smooth. Otherwise, this is a very nice image. I can just hear the roar of the water and smell the vegetation. Well done!
Thank you for sharing

Hi Kari, great composition with very nice colour. I agree completely with your note. I don't sharpen anymore until I'm either ready to post or print. I never save an original with the final sharpening now, and I have taken as much control away from my camera as possible.
Thanks, John

Terve Kari,
I prefer this one to the latest you've uploaded for it shows better the dynamism of the falling water and your whites are also better here. Good Pov and framing.
Have a nice day,

Hi Kari, a good serie of waterfalls but this have more appeal at my taste, even if colours are a little flat this place and this image are beautiful and lovely, compliments.

Yes, been there done that! :) But have i done it as well as you Kari? I don't think so, otherwise I would have posted it here or on one of my websites. A little extra saturation would improve this well composed image.
