Finally I’m starting to find some more time to start posting pics again. The last few months were a very busy time on the family farm, which limited my available spare time.
Frosts in my area are relatively rare so it’s a bit of a novelty to see ice on the grass. This pic, taken not long after the shortest day, was shot just before the sun's light touched this spot. The frosting of ice almost looked as though the grass had been sugar coated!
The only image editing here was to crop the original image back to what you see here. There have been no other enhancements.

Hi Tony.
It's always a great pleasure to discover your new contributions. The texture of this frozen grass is superb and you managed to find a great depth to dynamise the composition. Good choice also for the horizontal crop which fits well with the subject.

Hi Tony. We have had very few frosts this year but unfortunately we made up for it with rain ;-(. Nice macro work, well captured and thanks for sharing.

Very nice closeup photo, I really like the detail and the DoF. I allso think that you where right to crop the image the way you did. Very nice work.

That looks COLD!! Fortunately we didn't get any frost where we live this year!
