Photographer's Note

One good thing about photographing a sunset is that everything keeps changing and, if the conditions are right, some amazing effects reveal themselves. In this, the last in this short series, the sunís rays were bursting through the cloud cover in many more places than the previous two images with incredible intensity.
In order to gain the maximum impact in this pic, the camera settings were such that the landscape appeared too dark so, in an effort to improve that, I increased the brightness and contrast for that part of the image alone before downsizing and sharpening.
