One good thing about photographing a sunset is that everything keeps changing and, if the conditions are right, some amazing effects reveal themselves. In this, the last in this short series, the sun’s rays were bursting through the cloud cover in many more places than the previous two images with incredible intensity.
In order to gain the maximum impact in this pic, the camera settings were such that the landscape appeared too dark so, in an effort to improve that, I increased the brightness and contrast for that part of the image alone before downsizing and sharpening.

First looking at this picture I thought it was a shot taken in Ireland. The sunbeams going through the clouds are just amazing and you managed the light an optimal way to capture them. In such cases, I totally agree with the solution chosen consisting in under-exposing the land to enhance the sky beauty.
