Photographer's Note
Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000) was a famous Austrian architect & artist who took out New Zealand citizenship. Most examples of his very distinctive style of architecture is in Europe, but there is just one example in New Zealand and that is the public toilets in the small Northland town of Kawakawa, truly an architectural delight. When in New Zealand, Mr Hundretwasser lived not far from here.

Hi Neil,
I didn't know that Hundertwasser lived in New Zealand. I have seen many nice public toilet but never like this one. It is a jewel. fantastic place, thanks for sharing.

Hello Neil,
I like all of the colors and different mosaics. At least there is something nice to look at while visiting the rest room. :-) I also like your POV, with the columns in the foreground. I checked, and there are two other photos of these public toilets here on TE. I like yours the best.
