Photographer’s Note
A lone fisherman fishing off the rocks at the Bluff, the only rocky outcrop along 90 mile beach on the East coast of the North Island. Many people come to the Bluff as it is such good fishing. On this day there was a huge westerly swell.

It's a very interesting picture.
I would cut a bit from the right side, and definitely get rid of the awful noise visible mostly on the sky.
Take care

Hi Interesting photo, good silhouette of the fisherman and nice colours.Very nice.
Just a little to much noise in the sky I have done a workshop for you and used NeatImage to reduce the noise then done a little sharpening in Photoshop Elements.
I shoot film and scan it as well.

Hi Karen,
This is lovely. The silhouetted man with the fishing line among all those powerful waves. Your intent is great and so is the composition. Others have talked about what can be improved so I wont go there. Full marks for comp and colours.

Amazing scene. Incredible white sea. And the silhouette is perfect, sharp, with good details from the fisherman and his rod. We feel like the next wave will wipe the man from the rock. Nice crop. Well done work!

There is no sea at Kaitaia Karen, it's miles from there. You can type in "90 Mile Beach" in the place you put in Kaitaia.
It is a good composition, the silhouettes look great but it is very noisy. Do you have a Neat Image or Noiseware?
Cheers

Excellent - I like the way the lighting has the fisherman & rocks silhouetted against the raging sea.

Hej Karen!
There's only a thin line between standing on the shores fishing or looking like a complete idiot..

Hello Karen,
very succesful composed image. I like the figure of the men, who suggest presence and spiritualize the picture. Unfortunately too much noise, but you know..:)

Hello Karen,
This is a an effective panoramic shot — the fisherman in silhouette, engulfed in white water created by the ocean. Well composed and exposed -- the colors are vivid, and exceptionally sharp.
Warm regards,
Bulent
