Photographer’s Note
Hi all.
Proof of spring.
Taken on the banks of the Rangitikei River these are Poplar trees in the first flush of spring. I was lying flat on my back for this shot with my head resting on the ground supporting the camera which has allowed me to shoot this at 1/10 second and F16 for a good DOF. Three frames stitched together make up this image.
Enjoy.
Cheers, Paul.

Paul, you made a nice work, indeed. Although the shutter speed was 1/10 sec the exposure is perfect thanks to the position that had been taken. I like very much this composition!
Best wishes,

Hi Paul,
Great POV ... I think they normally refer this shot as 'worm view'. Yes we all welcome spring ... wonderful time of the year. Just as well nobody saw you lying down taking photos ... the things we photographers do to get the perfect angle :) Well captured and composed with very good image quality. Excellent work! tfs

Hi Paul,
that is a nice idea and good result. Strong colourful contrasts and a good POV make the top of the trees far away. I like the good light.

Hi Paul,
Quite original composition. I have a couple of shots of tree tops from under. But never thought about a panorama.
Spring foliage is so bright. Refreshing for a cloudy fall day.

Excellent and original view of these tree tops, which give you the desire to do exactly what your did to take the picture: to lay on one's back just to look at the sky. At sea during the night, you can do the same thing looking at the stars through the top of the masts (which are usually moving a bit, thus it is like having the world moving around you). It is also nice to see you are entering in Spring on the other side of the Earth, when the winter is coming for us...
All the best,
Emmanuel

I'm so envious of the Southern Hemisphere with summer to look forward to and we have the dreaded winter to get through first. ;(.
This is excellent work. It must have presented a challenge to stitch, but the result is fabulous. What a good idea.

Hi Paul,
Spectacular plane in a panoramic format! And great work to stabilize the camera on having shot with a speed of 1/10sec to compensate the F16.
The graphical result is great, and the light and the colors of your spring (here we are in autumn), they are magnificent.
Excellent work.

Hi Paul,
The result is very nice, we really have the impressio to be laid on the ground looking-up those beautiful trees. The stitched was perfect. I don't know if it is my screem, but I would like a little darker to add more intensity to the ble sky.

Hi Paul,
Wonderfil detail and color in the dream of a lazy spring afternoon. Your are clearly a creative genius!! I think of those Alaska train photos, the rock solid motorcyclists zipping by and now this. I think the harder the shot, the more you seek to make it.
