Photographer’s Note

Hi all. These are typical old New Zealand stock yards. Used for holding and sorting sheep when shearing, dipping, drenching and other stock work. Attached to these yards is a small shearing shed (shown in the workshop) that doesn’t seem to have seen much work for some time. Every sheep farm has a set of these yards and shed ranging in size from this one to yards sheds many times larger.
If you look closely you can just make out white spots in the sky, this is the fluff that comes from the willow trees in the late spring. (looks a bit like kapok.)
