On this photo you can see a fantastic sunset with views to Tongariro National Park, especially to Mount Ruapehu on the left. It was a two days walk in the Kaweka Ranges Forest Park, a great area for tramping between Hawkes Bay and Tongariro National Park. From Napier it is a 1 hour trip by car to the starting point of the Mount Kaweka Walk. From the top of Mount Kaweka, 1700m, highest point in this region, you have spectacular views to Tongariro NP and Hawkes Bay. There are some huts where you can stay over night. The sunset this evening was great.
