Photographer’s Note

Foggy farming (not a golf course) countryside, taken just after sunrise, from Te Mata Peak (400m.). This is looking south, I had uploaded a more interesting view looking north here .This was probably with a 80mm. focal length, I will add a 28mm zoomed out version to workshop. I actually had to desaturate the colours, for some they may still be too intense.

A dramatic landscape. Very well three dimensional view. Nice saturated green view.

What a great shot of this beautiful valley. At first, I was fooled thinking it was a golf course, but now I can see it is not, but I think would be a good place to hit some balls. ;-) Your POV is great and the colors and light are superb. Your WS is also great.

Hi Tan. You're right that does look like a golf course. The saturation seems fine to me but I must wonder how strong it must have been before you desaturated it! tfs Tan.

Unusual colours and the contrast is very strong for a very early morning shot. You are right that the colours are intense but it works well here. Great shadows and good catchment of the features of the landscape. The cloud formation is superb and look ethereal. An excellent shot overall.

Great early morning shot, colours are similar to what we get in Wales, especially just after sunrise in the spring and summer. For me it's the shadows and the textures that stand out in this image.

I really liked the north view which is so spectacular. But I like this one as well because it's very different. The ponds are so cute dotted in the lush green fields. I like that band of cloud too. The saturations' fine for me.

Surely this is the Shire and land of the hobbit...The patchwork fields and varying lines and graphics take the eye on a wild ride around the landscape. The shadow effects are enhancing and the superb mist in the background adds that special touch. A very fine capture, Tan.

Le relief tout en rondeurs est magnifiquement donné par cette lumière rasante. La brume du matin qui n'est pas encore dissipée fait un fond ouaté du meilleur effet. Excellent !

What a fantastic light over this landscape, Tan! Wow! I don´t know if you wait for it or just was lucky to be there at this time, but I usually don´t have the chance to choose the right time to be in the right place, when traveling. Some places are wonderful at all time, but this lights enhance it a lot!
Wonderful POV, colours and lights! Before it, perfect timing to be there at the right moment!

Tan both views are simply amazing with morning light....my favorite time for shooting photos. The long focal length really helps isolate this image with the shadows from the trees and from rolling hills. It almost looks like a new morning in heaven! Thanks for sharing!
