Photographer's Note
The city of Napier is known internationally as being an Art Deco city. The town was devastated in a massive earthquake in 1931 and reconstruction was primarily in the Art Deco style. Each year the city has an Art Deco weekend where the local dress in the style of the '30s. Various events are held & many beautiful old cars from this period make their appearance. Spotted this one on Marine Parade, parked close to colourful flower beds.

Hello Neil,
This is a very eye-catching photo combining three interesting elements: the almost overwhelmingly colourful foreground, the beautiful and very well maintained car and in the back a glimpse of what looks like a nice building. Not bad to get it all in one picture.

Hi Neil. I have been to beautiful NZ three times and as yet have not seen Napier even if I am well aware of its fame. Great shot that contains vivid colours and interesting details for lovers of cars and architecture. Nice how the red of the wheels echoes the flowers. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Neil :)
If not taken in colour, I would take it for an archive photograph of late 30's. The retro in style car looks like as it just rolled out of an assembly line.
Nice presentation, thanks for sharing !
