Photographer’s Note

Heya,
on my way to Napier, I passed the small village of Hawai. It may be funny or not: I liked the idea of visiting the "other" Hawaii which is appearently missing one 'i' ;-)

Hello Kevin,

Great imagery, the sign is funny; I would have expected some of the locals to have painted another 'i' on the end because there seems to be enough room for one. At first I thought that the sign would look better with more light on it but I remembered that these road signs are quite reflective and that may have lessened the appeal of your photo. I like the diagonal fence line; it draws my eye towards the hills at right. The sparkling ocean looks very inviting for a swim - the dominant blues and greens of the sky water and land coincidently combine well. Very well seen and framed.
