White Island revisited Photo

Photographer’s Note

I started my posting on TE with photos from White Island and one of them seemed to be very attractive to TE community.
Recently I finally managed to digitize all my negatives so I am able to present more photos from this place.

Here is White Island view when approached from the air. This is a view of an private active volcano. Does not seem really dangerous, however the water in the lake is nearly boiling and the steam comes from the hottest part. Yellow color comes from sulfur.

White Island is privately owned so a permission is needed to land there.

Hello Marek,

You already captured a frame that really looks like from NatGeo. Splendid textures of volcano, steam especially sulfured lake spectacular with dark blue. Excellent colors, clarity and sharpness. Congratulations.

Very impressive view from the airplane. It's good that you managed to include some of the ocean as well - blue color of water contrasts well with yellow sulfur in the crater.
