Photographer’s Note
This was taken on a beautiful sunny day at the main Mt Maunganui beach, in November. There was no real thought in this except that I wanted to get Leisure Island in the photo if I could. Also I edited out a couple of people who were walking along the beach, as the colours they were wearing unbalanced the photo I thought. As you can see the Pohutukawa tree was just starting to flower. Pohutukawa is commonly known as NZ's Christmas tree.
Edit 10/07/07: I got rid of the watermark off this photo, and reposted it.
