Hello to my TE friends,
Sharing with you a little different from my usual coastal scenery!
I presume most of you had seen this wonderful building from the other TE members posting as well!
This is the ferry building siituated right in front of the Auckland Prince's wharf water front! very impressive to see it amoung the modern buildings around it!
It is still an active ferry terminal today with thousands of passangers using it everyday!
The architecture style of this building as EDwardian Baroque with massive restoration from 1986 to mid 1988 from inside out!
Hope you can enjoy it and thanks for your time!
Cheers!

Hi Tony,
this is really a surprise! Your capture of the architecture is at least as amazing as your impressions of the great landscapes of NZL. I like the wonderful colours and your phantastic POV.
Congratulation!

Hi Tony ,
The contrasted colors and the sharpness are superb in this picture . The low POV gives a good perspective on this beautiful piece of architecture .
Very good light , too .
Congratulations
Denis

Kia Ora Tony
Wonderful composition with colours in abundance here, and the lighting is also superb. The row of old style lights compliments the scene well. Very different to your usual work, but a successful one.

Hello Tony,
just bach from my holiday and what do I see: architecture in your collection? It is really interesting for me to see a building of good old European fashion in New Zealand taken with the same fine technique as usual on your landscapes. I am glad you have showed it.
Best whishes
Laszlo

Hi Tony,
I am very glad you decided tgo post something different.
The landscapes you offer us are divine... but this was a real surprise and I like being suprised:-)
The light is great and it gives wonderful colours to this building. But there are also a few details that you could improve, in my opinion.
I think your frame is a little too close. You don't leave enough space in your composition (it is an error I often do that is why I tell you). And that is also why the upper part of the ?? (antenna?) touches the frame.
Do you use Photoshop? I don't. If you do, I imagine you could slightly correct the perspective. I am unable to do this :s
Now, the sharpness is perfect and this building is wonderful.
So congratulations!
Regards,
Marianne

Hi Tony,
Yes, we're not used to see architecture from you! You have found excellent light and the colors came really nice! Super sharp too.
The perspective distortion can be discussed, to adjust or not to adjust...! Here it works well that way, IMO.
Greetings
Laurent

Hello Tony,
A great perspective on this lovely piece of architecture, which looks as if it has been lovingly restored. The yellows and reds of the building make a fine contras with the lovely blue sky. I like the inclusion of the red railings as pointers. Colours and clarity are both superb. Well worth seeing.

Hello, My Friend,

This just shows your versatility!
A beautiful building captured, showing all its amazing colours and its architectural details. I do like the unusual 'tilt'. It gives the impression that this superb building is rising up from the floor!

Kind regards,

Hi Tony, my friend:

Such shots are not your own style landscape, but I must say that is very successful.

I like the composition, within an angle shot from well established. The sharpness and shades, and the contrast, identifies a beautiful shot.

Hi Tony,
Not that I am fed up with your amazing coast views, but it's a nice surprise seeing a post of yours featuring a building. The colours and textures of the classical building and the fence look gorgeous with that intense sun light and clear blue sky. I like the perspective and how it is so gracious despite the natural distortion provoked by the low POV.
Cheers, José.

Hi Tony,
Is seldom to see your architectures' photos, attractive color and detail to show the design of this beautiful building, nice blue sky, thanks for sharing.
Ally

Hey Ton,

And now for something completely different -- for you. :)
Nice execution. I like the perspective, the warm colors, sharpness, and the motive itself. Beautiful neoclassical/Victorian architecture (I`m making this up:D). Good stuff.

Best regards.

Hello Tony,

Bonjour Tony,
à mon avis et selon mon oeil amateur, le cadrage est très réussi et malgré les déformations, distortions inévitables, une perspective qui ne choque pas.
Bravo pour le rendu des couleurs, très vives.
Amicalement.

Hello Tony
It is first time, I see this building which has interesting architecture and fits just perfectly in the frame! Light and colors are fine too!

Hi, Tony -

The tilts are a bit hard for me to deal with, but the colors and the shapes are fantastic. And very XIX British style, too.

Hi Tony,
The colors in this shot are fantastic as the clear yellow is wonderfully complimented by the vivid blue sky as it contrast so nicely with the red brick and evern redder lampost and fence. The detials are razor sharp and the placement of the lovely habor architecutre is perfect.

Hi Tony,
A great photo of this ferry building. The light was great and brings out the colours so well. I like the composition a lot with a good placement of the red fence and lamps in front of the richly decorated facade. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Tony,
A beautiful image in your composition, this architecture is magnificent and the light increases its great graphism. The contrast with the pink railing and the lampposts is strong and elegant, and has a good aesthetic effect.
It is a photo different from your habitual work, but it is splendid.
Best regards, my friend,
Josep

Hi Tony
Impressive architecture and colours of that building. The management of light is perfect. Great contrasts and angle too. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards
Denis!

Hello Tony, Beautiful ornate building captured in good lively colour & excellent detail. I like your choice of POV giving the brightly coloured wrought iron fence & lights some importance without detracting from the building.
Well done.
Thanks
Santo.

Hey Tony,

The modern surroundings in this wharf area has kept this famous ferry building an icon! I remember hanging around this area with a sub sandwich and a beer just sitting infront of the marina area.

Nice angle, superb sharpness, colour and just love the inclusion of the old lamppost as well ;)

Cheers!
