Photographer's Note
I was not expecting to get another fog shot till late winter, but yesterday (still Summer in the Southern Hemisphere, this was the scene yesterday morning. I have Kimba (my dog) to thank for getting me earlier than usual for her morning walk. I was probably 5-10 minutes too late for special colours (although theer was a fair bit of cloud on the horizon, but I thought I'd show you a Eerie Summer morning. Mt Albert is about 150-200 meters from the ground.

Hello Jim - Beautifully delicate work. I love the light as it is reflected off the swathes of mist. The subtle details are well captured. I would love to photograph in these conditions. The soft colour palette is just superb. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Jim!
A great fog picture... reminds me of similar pictures from Bagan & Mrauk U in Myanmar. The layers are superb & the contrast between the lit up & dark portions effectively brought out. Excellent!

Hi Jim.
Absolutely beautiful, subtle photo. What an interesting study of fog, looking down on it, in such a narrow band above the ground. Yes, quite eerie the way the trees and vague dwelling shapes peek out from the fog. The gentle colouration is wonderful in the morning light. Really nice work.

Andrew

Hello Jim,
Brume encore très présente sur cette photo, j'apprécie de voir les arbres qui en émergent, preuve que cette brume n'est qu'un tapis pas très haut.
Excellents jeux de lumières.
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Hi Jim!
You still got a very good shot! The atmosphere is great and colours also!I really like this golden fog covering the field, letting us see just the top of the trees. It was really a good idea to get up earlier:)!

Hi Jim,, Who will know if you missed the best part of the misty sunrise.. I dont think it matters- what you have captured its a most unusual affect with the mists sweeping up low over ground level-- - a magical moment - that I would imagine does not last long.. The trees popping their heads above the mists creates the image.. well done Rich

Hello Jim ,
This is a great capture of this landscape in the mist . This one is deep , may be it would have been better if it had been a little less , to seemore details . Nevertheless , the effect is outstanding , especially the hills and some trees emerging from the fog . Stunning to see a perfect beautiful cloudy sky in the BG .

Good Morning Jim,
I always like to see shots from N.Z. as my son vowed he would go to live there, after his working holiday which took him around lots of Australasia. I suppose, I thought I might have to make the trip myself!
It certainly is eerie! It looks like something off a supernatural film, where the evil vapours are moving across the planet, overcoming everything in its path!
Fine composition and a lovely palette of soft hues to create the atmosphere.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)
