Photographer’s Note

Hello to my TE friends,
On my last posting with the Whatipu lighthouse at close with reflection, and now I am sharing with you the vastness of Whatipu at a highground! here you see the lighthouse at a distance!
also a couple walking along the beach to show the scale on the whole place!

An incredible scale, the two peoples oh the beach give an idea of this scale?
A superb landscape too with a very good depht of field (the FG is very well selcetdà
A very well balanced composition with a plesant incurving beach.

Wow, what a beautiful curve the beach makes and the colours of the ocean are really wonderful.
The rock with the lighthouse looks very tiny from on this distance but I do remember your other pic. The people on the beach tell us how big everything really is.

What a splendid seascape taking full advantage of the wonderful sweeping curve in the coastline. The clump of rock in the foreground is well placed and adds depth to the already expansive view. Light and colours are magnificent. Excellent sharpness. Thanks for sharing this superb image.

I think an important point to capture this magnificent photo was your high POV, this allows us to enjoy the beauty of the place. The presence of the couple on the beach gives us the scale which is very important in your picture because without them we could believe that the beach is smaller. Hi Tony,
What a view! Indeed the sense of vastness is awesome, you chose the POV very well, every little detail in the compo is just perfect. I like the various triangles suggested by the rocks and hill of the FG, which together with the shoreline makes a great visual arrangement. The clarity and colours are also amazing, the colour of the sea makes a wonderful contrast with the dark sand. The foam on the water gives a great life to the image, we can almost feel the wind blowing. And we can't forget the minuscule couple enhancing the sense of vastness.
