The Auckland City Art Gallery has been newly refurbished with several galleries dedicated to New Zealand art. Colin McCahon (1919-1987) is perhaps the best known of the modern NZ artists & although he received very little for his art in his lifetime, like Vincent van Gogh, they now fetch a high prices at auction. Going by the expressions of the kids in the picture, this gallery dedicated to McCahon's work is not to everyone's liking!!

This is the way to take pictures from museums and galleries. Whatever the attitudes and ideas of the kids there is a fine interaction between them and the art which makes the photo interesting. Maybe they are bored, but chances are that they could also be lost in deep thoughts of the meanings of the paintings.

wow, a nice moody one from this picture gallery. Composed beautifully, with sharp details and nice colours. I really like the atmosphere here with a lot of points of interest. Tfs.
