Photographer’s Note
This is another lazy Sunday afternoon in Auckland. St Heliers Bay is a perfect place where you can spend a lovely time with your friends and family. There are a lot of cafes and small restaurants, nice beach, sea and sun, what else do we need to be happy (don't remind me about global economic crisis, please).
The island you can see on a background is Rangitoto - youngest and biggest of almost 50 volcanoes which could be found in Auckland area. It is about 800 years old and last eruption happened to be here something around 1600. Now it looks pretty quiet. Rangitoto is probably most recognizable natural attraction around Auckland. It could be seen from almost anywhere in the city and it appears at numerous postcards and booklets about Auckland.

Hello Dmitri
I am familiar with St Heliers Bay and views of Rangitoto - and this is a good point of view with the seat in the centre and the Pohutukawa framing the volcano. I would have included a person sitting on the seat but I can tell this is not your style. TFS, Marlene
