Photographer's Note

The Pathway Hotel is build in in the micronesian architecture of a men's house. We stay here for 4 night near the centre of Colonia, the capital town of Yap. It was a great impression to here every night only the noises of the nature, sometimes interrupted by the rain showers on the roof, you hear no cars, no planes, no disco, or any other noise from human beings, ... pure nature.

Some years ago only for men the access to a Men's House was allowed (remark: there are also women's houses, access for everybody)

I was happy that they changed this tradition today :-)
