Cruising the South Pacific on our way from the Island of Fanning (Tabuaeran), Republic of Kiribati I was on deck and took this picture of a tourist standing on the deck below. The color of the sea and of his clothes, plus how relaxed he seems looking out at sea, called my attention. That round drain on the floor we could have done without....

Hello Rosita. There's a graphic potential in your image but the scene is somehow lacking a bit of dynamic. I added a workshop in which I adjusted some nitpicks for me, as the horizontale perspective, the round drain (which actually doesn't bother me so much), and the overall brightness.

Oh, I like the color contrast here, Rosita! Well chosen POV and the colors do play a lovely role here, contrating each other and harmonizing at the same time: The color of the deck with the sea, and the contrast of the pink shirt with them both. The posing is indeed relax and top the all atmosphere!

Hello Rosita,
A very relaxing scenery and beautifull colours. If you wouldn't have mentioned the drain - I guess nobody would have cared for that. This must have benn a trip to paradise.

Ciao Rosita, your picture works as a fabulous colors' eye-catcher on the gallery! Very nice mix of colour stripes indeed. I also like the man seen from above, like an iconic tourist.
Did you enhance the colours with PhotoShop or are they just as you shot them?
A better sharpness would have made a perfectly graphic picture. --amz

Hola,
Original with good satured colours and I like how you have placed the man in the middle of the scene. Not following one of the essentials roules, not to place the subject in the middle, but I think that in this case is really good. I have one picture with a similar composition, also an observer how is observed,... :-)
