Photographer’s Note

The PS Decoy, built in 1878, is a regular sight on the Swan River here at Perth, Western Australia: this same vessel actually made a crossing of the Great Australian Bight in the early 1900's, carrying some 90 miners from the Murray River in South Australia to Fremantle. Rather them than me!!
