Photographer’s Note
A picture from Apollo Beach, the first stop on our journey down The Great Ocean Road. The road was build across some of Victoria's most rugged and beautiful coastal scenery, as a memorial to the dead of the first world war and to provide work for former servicemen. The Southern ocean pounds the sandstone lifts of Victoria producing magnificent coastal scenery.

Nice photo. Love the lone surfer too.
Did you use a fisheye lens? There's some sort of spheroid effect here that I can't quite discern!

Bonjour, mon bon ami Kevin,
Scène majestueuse et magnifiquement mise en image. Le cadrage a été finement pensé pour donner toute l'ampleur de ce paysage merveilleux.
J'aime beaucoup cette composition avec ces vagues venant mourir sur la grève.
Amitiés.

Wow, I don't know what you've done in pp, but I like this eye fish effect. It sure makes the forces of Nature stronger, as if the waters were beeing sucked to form a gigantic wave. I sure wouldn't like to be in the skin of that surfer ;-)
Interesting experience, Kevin. And I like the fact that it's not much visible.
regards,
ric

Hi Kevin,
The beach curve and the highlights from the wave are nice here but I think from a compo point of view I prefer the previous one.
Have a nice day JY

hi Kevin
I find the curve of the wave lines to be interesting here, giving a nice bluish white contrast to the brown sandy beach and rock face of the cliff. You have done well to crop out most of the sky and give more space to the landscape here. tfs

Hi Kevin!
Seems you have started a very different theme! I like this pov. The photo is very nice, I like the lonely surfer and the layers of that cliff in background. Good colours and sharpness!
