Photographer’s Note
Looking down onto some surfers enjoying well-shaped waves at Bronte beach just a few kms from central Sydney. The colours are not altered it is just as it looked on this clear winter day with bright sunshine and offshore breeze.

Hi Murray,
I think that the sea, with his deep blue, more than the surfers, is the real protagonist of this beautiful picture.
Very good shot.
Regards.
Francesco.

Hi Murray,
An amazing image to see in the australian winter, our winters look a bit different...
Well framed action here and the saturated blue is a superb background for this action.
Have a nice day JY

It is an invitation to practice surf!
The color of the sea is very nice and the framing well used the waves to build a reading of the picture.
Good placement of the surfers who are sharing the scale and the movement.

hi Murray
Very effective composition to show the blue water and waves for the surfers with such brightness of direct light to bring out the strong color contrast in tones.
Really good DOF and sharpness from f/14 and the light is strong for your 1/604s. A great shot.

Hi Murray,
This is something i would like to photograph, but because we don't have these huge waves and also not such beautiful clear water i have to find my luck somewhere else on the world ;-)
Your pictures shows speed and a dynamic feeling which i like to see....very nice work.

Hi Murray,
The presence of the surfers in the water has an effect of scale. The capture of the sea power and of the action of the surfers are assets to the composition. The subject is well frame. The colors are enhanced by the quality of the light. Have a nice day.

Hi Murray.
A very good shot of surfing, and at a beach I know pretty well. The fast shutter speed has frozen the movement very well, yet the picture retains a dynamic aspect, with the two clear lines of the tops of the waves, the incredibly rich colours of the water, and the various surfers well placed in the scene. Top notch action shot.

Andrew

I like this shot the best out of your recent surfing posts, Murray, because of the vibrant blues. Must be something about the winter sun that does it. Well composed (as are all your surfing photographs) and superb sharpness. Cheers . . . David
