Photographer’s Note
River red gums line the banks of the Swan River at Bassendean, in Perth's eastern suburbs: this tranquil setting is 'the calm after the storm' the previous night.

G'day Jeff.
I could see this was an Australian scene from the thumbnail even before I saw your name under it. Must be the colours of those trees and bushes.
It's a nicely composed shot, with the pleasing clump of vegetation in the bottom right, and the house opposite making a good focal point. Add a good sky and a warm light and you have a subtle suburban landscape.

Andrew

Hello Jeff,
A beautiful pastoral scene.
I like the way you have anchored the shot with the f/g tree before the eyes glide across the water towards the ultimate goal, the hidden house.
Lovely colours and well composed.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jeff,
I imagine it would be nice to have a cottage by this river. The views at sunset are perhaps enchanting. Nice point of view to capture some of the bushes on the right. The blue patch of sky add a nice contrast to the mostly green scene. Thanks Jeff :-)

Hi Jeff,
Great place to wet a line, such a pretty spot.
Nice image, framing the shot with the tree on the right gives the shot real depth.
Superb colours so typical of the Australian landscape.
Good stuff.
Cheers

Hello Jeff,
I like this simple nice view. It's strange but it seems to me that the colours look like autumn colours.. but maybe it's because this is an Australian landscape :)
Regards,
Elena
