Winter Sunshine Photo

Photographer’s Note

For me, coming from Thailand, Sydney in winter is very cold, but one advantage is that on these chilly mornings, the sun is bright and clear and the atmosphere ,compared to Bangkok,is wonderfully clean, reproducing these bright and crisp images. This is a view for near my apartment in Pyrmont, looking across to the Central Business Area.

Hello Kevin,
the strong perspective created by the curve of the road have created a beautiful contrast with the skyscrapers standing proudly against the blue sky; this is a compo which works very well and the pov you went for is original and makes the picture interesting. Quality is really good as we can see quantity and quality of details throughout the whole picture, colours saturation is spot on and the overall sharpness is perfect. Very nice job indeed. Thanks for sharing it.

Great cityscape well captured with the best pov here!
the colour contrast here is first class with the city and beautiful blue sky with nice clouds formation over it!

I know this spot well, not many people could make it look as good as you have.
Composition is everything, the road, the footpath, the buildings all working perfectly within the frame.
Great detail and sharps.

Hello Kevin,
A great capture of the city skyline against a lovely clear blue sky. The curving roadway makes a good lead-line and is enhanced by the shadows cast along the fence. Colours and clarity are superb.

At least you get some sun in Sydney, down here we havent had many sunny weekends.

The shot is very clear and the PoV is very good with the composition elements nicely aligned.

Quite a change from your Thailand pics here, it's surprising how luminous it is for a winter picture, it has more of of a spring end feeling in it, and a good perspective leading to the buildings.

Yes..its the atmosphere whcih plays a major role in sky shots.
Whenever I click in Ludhiana, the sky seems to be oveexposed, but in Shimla, clouds invite now and then.
I like the rich blue tone in your shot........a perfect background, Kevin.
Your camera info shows the time of the shot as mid noon, may be time adjsutmemnt is needed, keeping in mind the time of this shot(morning) as mentioned by you.
