[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Returing from the Grampians we were treated with this view of rain falling on them in the distance. You can just about see the uneven mountain tops. The Grampians were created by volcanic activity about 50m years ago lilfting and tilting earlier sedimentary sandstone layers, forming granite as it cooled. Subsequent cracking and erosion give the rugged mountains we have today.

Hi Stephen,
Good pov to show wide landscape, interesting composition to captute background weather scene, distinct dim color image, well done.
Ally

Hello Stephen
Nice moody image with good exposure for us to see the rain with good depth shadows from the trees and misty mountains. The greens look great considering the light and it looks to me like all the sheep are in Australia and not in NZ, I haven't seen them on this scale since I came to NZ.
Regards
Jim

Hello Steve,
Lousy weather can be really beautiful sometimes. Few but very strong and saturated colours. Good light and a good composition.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Stephen,

wonderful weather performance, mystical mood, really. I love your composition with the trees silhouettes making an impression of a lace.

Best regards
Romana

Impressive landscape here - capturing the storm. Sometimes bad weather can work well in photography as is proved here! Its very atmospheric.

Cheers,
DAve

Oh this is great, isnt it. You must be pleasantly surprised to see this on such a gloomy winter day. Looks like heaven opens its gate and an UFO about to come into view. Those sheeps provide a good sign of life for this shot.

Alfred
