Yarra Bend Park
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
At Yarra Bend Park, the largest area of natural vegetation near the City of Melbourne, the landscape varies from steep, wild river escarpments to open woodlands, formal parkland, playing fields and golf courses. It has over 16 km of river frontage, and superb views of the city and the Dandenongs from the higher areas.
This view shows part of it in the late afternoon.

This is a beauty!! Very well seen the inclusion f the tree at the fg without it it will be a 'normal' landschape image (of a beautiful place). Great job!
Best regards

Helleo Steve,
The presentation is ACE, what may seem to be an ordinary shot is actually is a meticulously composed picture. I find rivers challanging. This shot is superb, in presentation, composition and framing.

Hello Steve, very nicely composed shot of the Yarra from this vantage point in the Yarra Bend Park. I really like the detail you have here, fromt he stump in the forefront clear through to the tree at the back of the shot. The colour seen in those Gum Trees is very "true". Very nicely done.
Thanks, John
Hello Steve,
It looks like your have travelled far and wide and brought back countless first classed photos posted on TE.
This is a simple but excellent composition, without too many distracting secondary subjects. The viewers' eyes are lead straight to the lake and the colourful stump set against a beautiful green Eucaplytus reserve. Cropping out the sky seems to be the right thing to do here. Excellent piece of work.
I entered from Chandler Hwy to Yarra Bend couple of weeks ago but didnt see this lake, wondering where the lake is.
Regards
Alfred

Hello Steve, You have done very well with this shot, I like you composition, colour is very natural looking & excellent detail. I like that stump in FG a very good inclusion,
I have been there several times & come away with absolute rubbish. Again very well done.
