Ciao santo. To each his or her own. I don't go for all that metal, but truth be told, it's the passion for a better world that one sees in her eyes that draws us to her. Great choice of POV with her being slightly elevated. And the clarity is very nice. So are the colours, particularly in the context of a drab, rainy day. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Santo,
This a beautiful and powerful photo, thanks to your composition and to your note. The kind of street palimpsest and her gaze are perfect to evocate the "everything" chat you had with her. In spite of the bad wheather you managed the colors very well, they're really soft and nice. I like a lot the one you posted as a WS as her face looks better without the rings under her eyes but this one is more original and evocative.
Thanks a lot for this beautiful photo, and your note,
Marion

Hey Santo,
First of all, an incredible portrait, although I like the WS version better, because it really shows her soft skin tones, lines and thus general beauty - she is pretty. You can`t notice that that much (although it is in the eyes of the beholder, or so they say) from this one. It is great portrait nevertheless, I just personally like the WS better.
Second of all, I`m surprised how much the same they look, these so called free-minded young ones, that bear so many social concerns in Australia and in my country. In a humorous sense I`d almost say she`s wearing a uniform. That colorful ribbon is the standard, so is the catchy dress, that stands out, many piercings: check, a transparent scarf: check .. and I`m not trying to be at all offensive here, I just find it a bit peculiar. :)
Great job, see you around.

Hi Santo.
An high sharpened portrait, out of sunlight and withouts shadows in her face.
A perfect exposure allowing to read the dress' details.
Well done.
Best regards.
Bobo.

There is something irresistible about this photo, the composition, colours, the face - well done. I prefer this one to the one in the workshop.

Ciao Santo,
una fotografia bella e curiosa, piacevolmente diversa dalle solite. Hai avuto una buona idea nel comporre l'immagine con lo sfondo del manifesto strappato. Molto bello anche il ritratto del WS. Bravo!
Ciao
Paolo.

Okay, catchy title Santo. You had me worried for a minute. Good looking girl, I like the workshop too, it seems to make her seem more innocent or younger. I read some of the other comments too. Miha (Miha2ou7) is absolutely correct, it is almost like a uniform, I've seen it in Canada too. It's also something most of them get over, and move on with, and it's probably not so different from what many of us went through.
Getting back to the shot, there's good colour here, and I like the contrast seen between the girl and the stark wall and poster beside her. Great positioning for the shot. Excellent notes.
Thanks, John
Hello Santo,
I really like your note and like some who have critiqued I do actually like the WS better, at the age where she is at, the world seems so conquerable of we could only carry that feeling into our adulthood, we might actually do a bit more good.
This visual rendering of that adolescent sensation is superb.
Well done.

hi Santo
Interesting way for you to capture your portrait using the wall poster as backdrop. The girl is really making this shot a striking one for the several decorative pieces over the face.
Very good shot, and the WS too.

Hi Santo, lovely portrait of a beautiful original woman, great pose and excellent sharpness, wonderful expression, very well done, ciao Silvio
I think you chose the better shot for TE, Santo--it's not just a portrait, it has a little context. The gray background makes the color of her face and cap stand out. I don't like the low POV so well--not the most flattering for most people, and it makes her seem detached, like she's not connecting to the viewer. Still a nice portrait overall. Regards, Ken.

Hey Santo,
this one is good,
another one is a fantastic Portrait with large "P": off centre compo, huge eyes, intryguing overall expression;
just my opinion..
best regards,
Tomasz

Sanot,
curious effect that you achieved here. The girl is completely crisp and gives almost the impression that she is walking out of my monitor into my room at any given moment. I have the feeling that you might have used a fill-in-flash and did afterwards a gaussian blur in the blackground to get rid of any shadows. Is that a right assumption?
Peter
Hi Santo,
I agreed. She is very likable and pretty, but I am not sure about those ornamments on her nose and lips, may be it is just me. Your title is misleading at first, but its fun. Well these are beside the point on TE.
Technically, I think both shots are good though I would prefer this one with the torn poster behind her which kind of ties in well with her messy head wear, to achieve an artistic composition. I think without the poster, the monotone background would have been much less interesting.
Very well done, Santo...you are now one of my favourite!
Regards
Alfred

Ciao Santo,
Buon week end
Mario

Hi Santo!
I like this portrait a lot. So full of details and I like her expression, seems her thoughts are so far away. Good light and very well framed.
