Here is the second shot of three of the Kiama tornado. I know the sky is a bit washed out near the horizon, but you don't get much time to consider composition when these events occur. I hope you like it anyway. I welcome any comment on how I might adjust the lower sky to reflect the blue it actually was.

Welcome to TE Chris!
Some selective adjustments of levels and curves, would prob help. This is a diff exposure b/c of the sharp diff in light here. Maybe a polarizing filter would've helped too.
It's a good pic, but that bright bit is a bit too hot. You also need to bring out the twister more (select it sep from the rest of the sky).
Hope this helps.

Very impressive. It's a pity that the base of the tornado is not visible

This is an exceptional shot with only 3 critiques! Great capture of a very unusual but at the same time powerful and beautiful natural phenomena. The exposition is excellent as we can see nice details in the cloud structure. Congratulation for this excellent work.

Wonderful shot, it's absolutely impresive! We don't see the base of the tornado but for me it doesn't mind so much. We see the tornado flying, imagination make the rest. Also you should be a little scared when you took the picture, imaginating the base coming up to you! Congrat! For the lower sky to bright, probably selecting the bright part and paste a gradient of blue on it.

Hi Chris, it is something spectacular and I agree with you, when this occurs, you don't have any time for setting the camera and care about exposition....
