Four Wheel Drive Sunset Photo

Photographer’s Note

Stradbroke Island, QLD, Australia.
It is quite popular to take a four wheel drive out to an island to drive along the beach for Australians... something I have never tried however. I took this photo of the lone vehicle on the beach as the sun produced amazing colours throughout the sky. I've boosted these a little, but nothing too drastic. They were already very strong and powerful, with mottled cloud patterns to assist the evening light show.

Hi David, this is a perfect format for this shot to capture that awesome sky. The mottling and colour are incredible. The 4x4 and people give it scale, and judging from their reaction, looking at the sky, and with all the doors open on the truck, they were as impressed with that sky as you were. Very nice capture.
