Photographer’s Note
I took this shot from Luna Point on a windy evening on a 2 minute 15 second exposure to get the movement in the clouds. It's probably the best travel shot I've ever taken. The RAW file needed some work to restore the colours I saw on the screen that night but other than that this is pretty much 'as shot'.

Hello Neil,
I agree, it is a very good photo. I like a lot the effect provided by the long exosure time on the clouds. It is giving a kind of movement in the photo.
The composition is very good also with a good placement of the bridge and the Opera in the background.
Yves.

Hi Neil, i agree this is marvelous, 2m 15 sec of pure pleasure.
The river is so still and like ice, marvelous handling of saturation, brillant use of wide angle and sense of the compo, i would have loved to see it in 800 px.
Great one.
Have a nice trip to seychelles islands as i read you are going soon there.

Hi Neil, just let me say wow! A very good exposure, the clouds are gorgeous, as colours and sharpening. The diagonal bridge seems to separate the world of the city from sky.

hi, v nice composition and lighting, the clouds directions seem to match the bridge top arc which adds to the composition.

Hello Neil,
I like the picture, but you should sharpen it more. And the size should be 800 pixels, not less! You have such a great camera (and a D3 like me if I read your notice..).
Have a great day!

Hello Neil,
You must upload a fullsize shot. Without a doubt, this is the most amazing shot I have seen of the Harbor so far.

It is really a fantastic shot, but maybe it could be better if you use the whole of the 800 pixels wide you have to post a picture. For example see this picture posted a long time ago from Sydney. Yours could achieve that many favourites if it were larger.
The clouds that can be seen over the bridge seem like aurora borealis, a good effect due to the long exposure you explain in your note.

Jürgen

Hi Neil,
A fantastic night shot of the Sydney Harbour bridge, and you've managed to capture enough colour and light in the sky. The overall colours of the night lights, with splashes of red, bright blue and gold, have added impact to the shot. Those cloud streaks enhance the overall result.Very well done.
Cheers Grant
