Photographer’s Note
Following my In the Heart of the City shot, I am posting this photo of people relaxing on a Summer's afternoon by the Yarra River. The earlier shot was taken directly from across the bridge, where the Federation Square is situated.
It was a clear day, although the light was somewhat too bright.

Hallo Klaudio!
You show us a really impressive place. Sitting there truly must be relaxing - although I do not like big cities at all. I like the light here very much, I think you mamaged it in a skillful manner. I would like to step into the picture ;-)
Greetings from rainy and grey Germany - with announced snow for the next days!

Hi Klaudio
Your photo makes me want to visit Melbourne during warmer months although the temperatures of the last few days are a bit too warm for me. Sitting under a tree by the Yarra is my idea of a rest. I like how you got the skyline perfectly framed by the branches.

Hi Klaudio
Nicely framed with the trees at the top. The exposure is spot on and DOF is good. We can imagine the hustle and bustle amongst the tall buildings that house the city's commerce juxtaposed with the relaxation of those sitting on the park bench.

Hello Klaudio,
Melbourne is surely a magnificent city; it consistently considered one of the top cities in the world to live in and has attained the number 1 ranking several times. With the cooler climate, high standard of living and world class shopping and dining it is no wonder that it is so popular. Your photo provides both an interesting aspect of the city skyline and shows people enjoying the pristine weather. It looks very relaxing and memorable. Great saturations and colour choice. I find many of my photos lack yellow in them, so even if it is supplied in your image by the sleeve of someone’s shirt it is important to boost the tonal range. Great work!

Hi Klaudio, I think what I like most about this shot, is how natural it looks, with people sitting by the side of the Yarra, having a break, and the man and his son standing down at the edge looking in. I think I've even sat on that bench myself. The light is good, creating the shadow detail behind the bench and the patterned fence. You have great natural colour and good sharp detail throughout.
Thanks, John

Ah, zaista lep cityscape.

Klaudio,
Impressive, somewhat idyllic looking cityscape, which reminds me very much of our own impressions of (relatively) nearby Adelaide - it was all so neat and tidy - a fact which bemused me all the more when I was unable to find a rubbish bin in the middle of town.
This shot's very well balanced, in composition and colour.
Regards
colin
