I spent a day and a half in Sydney and thought it was fantastic city. This is a picture taken from a ferry going to Manly, a suburb in the north. It was a normal size picture actually, and I just cropped the sky and the water to make it look like a panorama.

I think that anyone can make a decent panorama of any city, but what makes sydney special is the shape. Everything seems to grow out from the center. What I mean is: All (or nearly all) structures are put in the center of town and gradually the height of the structures drops until you have regular house height in the suburds. Though this photo doesn't show all of Sydney I still feel it retains that general impression of the city.
A slight overexposure on the operahouse, but the rest of the photo looks good. Good saturation on the blues of the water and sky.
I would maybe suggest "higher" photo, I mean a little more water and sky, not much, maybe 5-10%
Thank you for sharing.

Magnifique composition de Sydney, et cette forêt de gratte-ciel. Les couleurs sont nettes et claires.
Un petit bémol cependant, dommage que nous n'avons pas de large version de ta photo en panorama.
Bonne journée Marlyse ;-))

Good choice of panorama to accentuate where it matters. Good timing too to have the yacht balancing with the opera house. It could be slightly sharper. Do you sharpen after resizing ?

Great panorama capture. Hope you get the chance to send more time in Sydney soon!

Shot perfect from the compositional point of view, so to say. Very good overview photo of this far city. Highest ones in the middle and lower ones at the sides, interesting.
