Photographer’s Note

The Giles Weather Station near Warnakurna on the Gunbarral Highway. What you see is the painted dish of the old radar tracking station used for tracking the weather balloons.

Each U symbolizes a human beeing sitting. The boomerang symbolizes men, the digging stick symbolized women. So there are 4 men sitting around a fire.

The Gunbarrel Highway and many other roads in the Outback where made by Len Beadell and his party.
If you ever have the chance to read one of his books or to hear one of his interviews. Do so!
