Photographer’s Note
Another photo from Anna Bay. This one was taken after the sun had set. While I love sunsets, sometimes the colours and lighting just after a sunset are even more spectacular.
These seagulls were very photogenic. They didn't mind me walking around them trying to get different angles of their silhoetted profiles with the beautiful beach in the background.
I chose to post this photo, because it contains all sorts of details: seagulls, rocks, waves, as well as Stockton beach sand dunes and people, mainly fisherman, in the distance.
I hope you all like it :)

Thanks Claudia I do really like it. The seagulls all seem to be standing very orderly, and I really like how clearly their reflections pick up in the wet sand beneath. Good mood of tranquility in the photo.

Hi Claudia,
This is a lovely, relaxing sort of photo, with very calm pink colours. Good how you got all those seagulls to face the same direction too. Nicely balanced composition, especially the seagulls and their shadows.

Hey Joey,
My mate just returned from spending Christmas down in this area. He was probably one of the people in the background. The group of eight seagulls looks beautiful against the soft pink/orange reflections. The 1/10 capture has allowed some softness in the water which is good, but keeps the subjects nice and crisp. This really is the best time of day to do many outdoor things, and of course photography is one of them.
Thanks for the Fraser feedback. It is a great place isn't it?! I spent a week on the island, and got to see most of it. Can't wait to return with my digital camera someday soon. Moreton is a bit more accessible for us Brisbanites! It is a good alternative.

Hi again Claudia.
A sensational shot, deserving of more recognition. Beautiful colours and great composition. And the gulls obliged by all facing in the same direction. Really good.

Andrew

yes I do (like it).
We can feel the quietness, thanks to the pink sky and wet sand beach contrasting with the rough blueish sea, the relative position of the gulls and their shadows giving a kind of comic stips
