Photographer’s Note
Hi to all my friends on trekearth. Been away for a while and just managed to get paint shop pro again so I can resize my photos to the correct size.
This was taken off the rocks just when there was a little back wash. To me it looks like a creature from the deep that we know lives there but only see on a rare occasions.
Take care Richard.

Hello Richard,
Your wave photos are a fantastic specialty, and always captivate me in wonderment. They are remarkable, and yes, many of them seem to take on their own entity as some sort of creature. Incredible sharpness and clarity; the water is so clear and attractively coloured. Very wise choice of shutter speed, I am guessing it is exceptionally fast. Awesome power! Welcome back to TE.

Hello Richard,
An eminently successful shot from conception to implementation, from exposure to post-processing. I like very much the subtle turquoise, and the ephemeral veins that appear in the turquoise. The droplets, the mist, and the bubbles of air — all extraordinary. This is one of the finest detail shots I've seen of a wave breaking.
Warm regards from Virginia,
Bulent

Hello Richard,
This is ndeed alive and very dramatic. The wave and every drop of it seem frozen under the daylight. The colours seem very natural and add to the appeal of this image. I really like the way you managed to capture the beauty of the ocean. Waves are something I have not seen in a while with my own eyes so is always a treat to see them here. Thanks for sharing.
