Photographer’s Note

I thought it was time I submitted a pic from my own back yard, so I took a quick drive into the city late in the afternoon, and shot this one from Kings Park.
The numerous cranes are evidence of renewed building activity within the CBD, as a result of the resources boom Western Australia is enjoying.

I have the same aspect but night shot from kings park. I'll post it tomorrow probably. Its a beautiful city. I have visited many times and can't wait till the next. Perth truely is that beautiful.

Great cityscape! The large version is crisp and clean. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. Your composition is great using the highways and shoreline to create diagonals through the shot giving the photo a nice sense of direction.

Hi Jeff
I'm always telling my clients that Perth is a beautiful city and here is proof. The skyline is so sharp and I like the contrast with the park and river. The roads help draw the eye to different parts. I guess all the building is the result of the mining boom.
