[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have found a new spot to get one of the biggest lips around the world that it would have to be one of the best rides of your life. I was lucky to get these young surfers with the morning light shinning through the wave at about 6 am. Would you have the courage to go deeper inside?
Take care Richard.

Hola,
what a great washing machine! I would like to be there and watch this moment.
The composition, and lights are great.

Well done,

javier

I like waves , this one is so strong; i discover your gallery , what an energic feeling and very good job .Thanks for so nice colours

Another great picture of the waves specialist in TE. I'm surprised that only a 160mm focal is enougth to get this capture. You need to be very close.
Nice shot,
Jean-Claude

Wow!!!! Amazing picture, full of motion and adrenalive! Excellent sharpness! Thank you for sharing! Regards Stella

Hello Richard

What really surprizes me here is the way you have managed to capture the light. To get the morning light at this angle and with such waves must be quite unique to a few places in the world, and to be able to be there... I must say I envy you...

The overall photo and quality looks just awsome, beautiful clear colour tones, very good soft light created by the wave and a head on POV that really puts all attention to the wave.
Thank you for sharing.

U have captured the whirling motion so brilliantly.
Human inclusion is a very good idea.

Hi Richard,
I've been bodyboarding for years (even in Australia actually!), but man, I would think twice before paddling on a beast like this! I've surfed a similar place, but it was half the size and still the lip was so big that bones were crushed on wipe outs!
Your photo: It's very good with this light in the barrel. I only regret that there is nobody surfing the wave...
Nicolas

Yo Richard...

One word.... 'heavy'...

I wouldn't blame the guy for looking for the back door, imagine how much water you would be cleaning out of your ear if you took a lip like that to the side of the head... but that's not the spirit is it!!

So, for the photo!!

Great POV with the pitch of the wave moulding to the frame giving interesting contures. Nice light twinkling off the water and good clean crisp detail and colours.

Cheers
