Photographer’s Note
this is my first attempt at long exposed traffic and i was pleased with the way this turned out. same night as the rugby league game between queensland and new south wales. on the right is suncorp stadium. behind me as i took this shot were thousands of drunk football fans, clad in maroon, singing the praises of their heroes, who would go on to glory later that evening.

Hello Graig,
Awesome to see that we are about to break the 50ml mark for the first time in mare than 600 days! Everyone seems to be making the most of the rainfront, the BOM thinks that snow and sleet will fall on the granite belt and border ranges by the end of the week. I am headding up to Springbrook on Saturday, so fingers crossed I see some!Great photographic chance if that were the case :). Awesome shot here, the classice two tone traffic direction colours contrast well next to the well known Brissie icon. Very clear, with good saturations and a nice frame also. Another good spot for this kind of photography is Victoria Bridge looking onto the Riverside Expressway or at Kangaroo Point, on the pedestrian overpass facing the Story Bridge end on. Makes me want to get out and do the same. Cheers.

Hi Craig, this is something I've always wanted to try, (and your shot might just be the kick I need to try it). It is hard for me to evaluate this based on technique, because I just have no experience, but I like the looks of it. I'm guessing you tried several exposures and settled on 8 seconds. The surrounding light and colour looks good. Yup, I like it.
Thanks, John

Hi Craig,
I like dynamic night shots of this type very much. It's good use of long exposition. Panoramic format fits here perfectly, very well framed.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey Craig,
a very nice play with the long expsoure. Lots of speed captured, I like the high urban surroundings, feels like Im trapped in this cobcrete jungle.

tough shot! but you did a good job of capturing the movement ... since the lines in the shot are vertical, this might work nicely with tighter, vertical framing.
in your note, you mentioned hoards of drunk, celebrating fans ... now THAT would have been something to shoot! :)

Hello Craig,
Very good first attempt. The colors of the traffic lights worked very well.Good choice of the moment too. Lots of cars passing by!

Hello Craig. Color fascinates. In the darkness the colors unfold their whole strength. A temptation for each photographer. The title fits very well the photo. By the movement the photo becomes abstract. Very beautifully and worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.
