Photographer's Note

This is southern Queensland, somewhere between Crossdale and Bryden. About 30 km north of the Wivenhoe dam and about 55 km north-west of Brisbane. The area has not had significant rainfall for years as I learned from a note of Matthew-Watt.

There is not much color left in the grass except for some brown tints. The trees seem to do a 'little' better still showing some green leafs. This photo was taken on my last day of traveling in Australia. The day after, when driving to the airport I heard they increased the level of waterrestrictions from 3 to 4 (don't know on what scale though).

I was lucky to get this shot, it had been cloudy all day. Right at that moment there was a small sunny spell and I took my chance to take some photo's of the beautiful landscape.
