Wrong way in Bathurst, a photo from New South Wales, East

Photographer's Note

I took this shot with my little digital camera, a very good piece, that I am so proud of. Ok, no SLR resources, quite limited in depth-of-field terms, but great to have in the hand-bag!
This is Mount Panorama, a circuit located in Bathurst.
"The Bathurst 1000 is a 1000-kilometre motor race for touring cars, conducted each October at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia." ( Wikipedia)
When the race is not on, anyone can drive in the circuit but there are speed restrictions and police patrols to give you big fines in case they catch you speeding.
At the top there is a great viewpoint overlooking the small town, the outback and the Blue mountains.

It must also be admitted there are very few drivers in Bathurst that havent had a go at the mountain at some time. Finding yourself slamming on the brakes going up hill round a corner and having difficulty hanging onto the car at the colossal speed of 40klmph is really something. Usually a few days after the experts have been hurtling around the same corner at speeds the average family car cant do going down hill in a straight line. I came round the circuit hanging onto a video camera in 1988 when my dad drove us round the mountain and I didnt know wether to hanf=g on to the camera or the seat or just give up and let the seatbelt do the work. It is a great place. Lovely shot.

Hi Luciana,
You did an excellent work with your small camera.The result is very nice with this place out of people.But most of all a sensitive shot with the lovely light and color of the sky in contrast of the black circuit!

Oi Luciana,

Vejo que esta de volta a ativa, que bom. Otimo resultado conseguido com pouco recurso. Bom contraste no ceu e otima composicao utilisando a curva do circuito para dar profundidade a foto.

Olá Luciana!
Geralmente o bom olhar de um fotógrafo vek muito mais que uma boa camêra! A foto ficou ótima! Ja ouvi falar nesse autódromo, gosto de acompanhar corridas! As cores nas nuvens ficaram muito boas também!
