Photographer’s Note
A pair of mountain ducks grazing on a clover pasture. silhouetted by a canola crop. The largest duck in Australia, they nest in tall trees (100ft or more), when the chicks arrive the parents push them out and they fall ( flutter? they have no feathers ) and bounce of bushes near the ground and are ushered by their parents to the safety of the nearest water. Hand held 200mm tele.

Hello Peter,
Very nice tricolour image for a hard duck life.
I like it. Good framing and colours.

hi peter
there are some bold colours here and the ducks break it up very well. i would even say that you could lose some of that foreground and still have a very good shot. well done!

The colours are nice, the composition as well. Just wondering what the focus was on? Maybe it's due to the compression, but the picture looks a bit unfocussed.

I would have loved a tick more details and sharpness on the ducks but your composition is simply excellent! regards, urs
