Bay of Islands is one of the many highlights of the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Just like at 12 Apostles the islands are made of natural limestone. Where the original 12 apostles have been reduced to 7 or 8 apostles, the islands ultimately will face the same fate due to erosion by the ever breaking waves.
The Great Ocean Road hugs the contours of Victoria’s rugged south west coast, taking visitors on one of Australia’s greatest and most spectacular coastal drives. From Torquay to Nelson, almost 300 kilometres to the west, the road snakes past cliffs, scenic lookouts, waterfalls, rainforests and sunken ships.
It was built between World War I and World War II by returned servicemen in honour of their fallen comrades. The road took 16 years to build and it was all done by hand using picks, shovels and dynamite.

Very beautiful place. It was a good idea to crop the photo: I find the photo well equilibrated like this. Indeed the waves on the bottom left fill very well the frame.

Beautiful panorama scene and very good stitching quality. You have captured the 'wildness' of the scene very well ... the waves and the erosion it did to the landscape is quite dramatic. Excellent. TFS

Very nice color and contrast, balance and composition, Harko. It looks like a truly beautiful spot. And the note is certainly informative, which we appreciate. Possible area for improvement -- a bit more sharpness and taking more advantage of the large format. On the one hand, I can appreciate the desire to fit in all in a single screen view, and I know first-hand the challenge of keeping an image that large and encompassing sharp. On the other hand, I think you could have had more of both if you'd made full use of the 4,000 pixels or so available to you. Just my opinion. Good work, in any case.

Zeer geslaagde foto, mooi licht op de rotsen en enorm 'lange' golven die naar het onbekende gaan.
Hoe bevalt je camera?

A great australian landscape, with impressive POV.
I like colors and hues, and the great lower left corner use you made.
Impressive large version.

Hi Harko, this is a really impressive picture with all those white waves and the turquoise sea. I love the humid in the air as it makes the picture grom dim in the end. Colors are beautiful this way.
The panorama feature is designed for shots like this.

Amazing view. Looking at this photo you can feel the air. There is slight mist in the air. The composition is very good.

Très belle image ! J’aime beaucoup le déferlement de toutes ces vagues ainsi que la couleur de la mer. Note très intéressante également et je suis très étonné de la durée de construction de cette route.
Bien à toi,

The panorama view works perfectly here. Very good choice.
You've nicely captured the wildness and strengh of the spot. You've also managed to give a very good depth to your picture.
