[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo whilst in Nairne visiting with a friend. It is of the same building of my previous photo, just from a different viewpoint. I really liked the Agapanthus at the entrance of the driveway.

The township of Nairne:
Nairne was founded by Matthew Smillie (a Scottish Lawyer) in 1839, and named after his wife, Elizabeth Corse Nairne. His original acquisition of 4,000 acres was subdivided into 80 acre lots for wheat farming, with provision for the township, a school, church, etc. and was offered for sale.

Like Mount Barker, flour mills needed to be established before the land created much interest, and one of the mills, Albert Mill, just off the main street, still remains. There are many buildings of historic interest remaining, including the old Police Station, the Catholic Church, the Miller's Arms Hotel, the railway station, and the Institute.

PP work:
Cropped from the original a tad
Altered the brightness levels
Altered the contrast levels
Sharpened
Framed

Hope you like it! Cheers Tina :-)

Hi Tina
A lovely scene with beautiful colours and a good compo and POV. There's too much detail here so the quality is less on TE that's a pity.

greetings from Holland
Albrecht

Hi Tina,
This is a nice scene with the glimpse of the old building in the background. The colour of the Agapanthas is very nice. Lovely relaxing scene.
Cheers,
Debbie

I love Agapanthus - they grow particularly well down in Gippsland where I spend as much of my free time as I can manage. They are hardy to the point of indestructibility! Your choice of POV and DOF is nicely made here, throwing the architecture into soft background defocus. Nice one - thanks for sharing it!

Hi Tina,
wonderful place with splendid light and colors, very well done.
Cheers!

Hi Tina,
pleasant place, very nice view as previous. Beautiful flowers on the foreground. I like it. Good job.

Very nice shot indeed! Perfect composition and slightly blurred background features highlight the focal subject of the plants. Pity the agapanthus last such a bried period. Not sure about the frame colour, might be overdoing the colour a bit! And perhaps it's just a tiny bit over-exposed. But overall, it is a really excellent composition, with the building's windows almost inviting us inside.
Regards,
Andrew

Hello Tina
Because I like flowers I couldn't notice these lovely violet plants... and course this photo ;). So interesting composition with the house in the background (I like especially the red window - frames) and flowers in the foreground. Nice colours too. And I think that the black - violet frame was the good choice :).
