Photographer’s Note

This is the lighthouse up on flagstaff-hill in Wollongong.

The sun was beaming down this day but the clouds and the man on the bench were just too good an opportunity to pass:) I think the shot came out good even thought the sun was right above me.

I would love comments on the crop of this shot.
I'm also posting some alternate versions.

Very interesting composition. I like the title as well, well done.
In my opinion the light-house is a bit overburnt, it may of course be the effect of a strong contrast and the white colour. Picture well taken. Thank you for sharing,

Very balanced composition with the lighthouse nicely placed on the hill and the clouds look as though they are being emitted from the top. The inclusion of the person on the bench is good as it is at about the same position bottom left as the top of the lighthouse top right. The sky is nicely polarized and the colours well saturated. I love the colour of the grass.

Hello Cato ... first I thought this is "just" another lighthouse, but it is not. The whole has something that I like. Maybe the person sitting there, enjoying the view, overlooking the ocean, day-dreaming away ... suits the clouds hanging over the lighthouse. All so nice. Barbara.

Hello Cato,

The sitting man gives nice balance to the picture - you composed it well pribably with the cropping. I think the inside blck frame is too much here. 1 px could be enought if you would use any..
Clear, sharp - nice colors!
I like this version. On the darker one the sky's blue is not natural for my taste.
